Spring
After the long winter months, the arrival of spring brings with it the desire for fresh air. The days get longer, and people go for long walks again to enjoy nature in bloom. It is the season of awakening, and Bolzano begins its celebrations with the traditional Wine Exhibition. During the Easter period, it is the turn of the Spring Market, followed by the colourful Flower Show.
Summer
The arrival of summer in Bolzano is accompanied by a series of great music-themed events. It starts in June with the South Tyrol Jazz Festival, an event that has been running for over 30 years. During the last two weeks of July, Bolzano Danza takes place, an initiative of international importance and one of the most important European events for dance lovers. The season ends with two events for lovers of classical music: the Bolzano Bozen Festival and the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition.
Autumn
This is the season of change, which prepares for the arrival of winter and delights the inhabitants of Bolzano with its warm and exciting colours. Some of the oldest, most famous and important trade fairs in the city are held in autumn. This is also the period when Transart takes place, a festival dedicated to contemporary forms of expression, including art, music and cinema.
Winter
The traditional Christmas Market is the ultimate winter event in Bolzano. Popular with tourists and locals alike, it creates a magical atmosphere throughout the city. Strolling through the decorated streets of the historic centre, you can savour our traditional aromas and flavours, admire the many local products on sale at the stalls and enjoy the many small parallel events that enliven the town during the Christmas Market period.
